Acupuncture
What is acupuncture for animals?
Acupuncture is a gentle and holistic treatment method based on the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Its goal is to balance the flow of energy in the animal's body, thereby activating its natural self-healing abilities.
According to Chinese medicine, all of life is seen as a constant interaction of the opposing forces of yin and yang. Life energy, known as qi, flows through specific pathways in the body called meridians. When this flow of energy is disrupted, it can lead to illness or pain.
How does the treatment work?
By inserting thin, precise, and specific needles along the meridians, the flow of energy is balanced. Each point is associated with a specific organ or organ system. Stimulating these points may relieve pain, reduce inflammation, strengthen the immune system, and improve the animal's overall well-being.
Acupuncture treatment targets not only the symptoms, but the whole being. The goal is to restore harmony between the mind, body, and environment, making it more resistant to negative influences.
When can acupuncture help?
Acupuncture can provide significant support for a wide range of conditions. It is often used in the following areas:
* Problems with the musculoskeletal system: osteoarthritis, joint pain, spondylosis, herniated discs, paralysis.
* Pain: acute and chronic pain.
* Skin problems: allergies, itching, eczema.
* Digestive disorders: diarrhea, constipation, vomiting.
* Respiratory diseases: asthma, cough.
* Behavioral problems: anxiety or stress.
Because acupuncture works on the body's own healing powers, it is a treatment with very few side effects. Many animals find the treatment soothing and relaxing.
